Jeeves and the Serious Consequences
Hallo, old things!

Here's my next fic, I hope you all enjoy!

I'm trying to decide whether, for my next piece, I want to do a Jeeves POV on these same events, or whether I should just move on to something else. If you leave a comment (which, ohpleaseyesplease!) feel free to let me know which you'd prefer. Also, if you've got any spare J/W bunnies lying about, please feel free to lob them my way - I'm open to suggestions (although I make no promises)!

Cross-posted to my lj, indeedsir and fryandorlaurie

Title: Jeeves and the Serious Consequences (since the obvious title was already taken *g*)
Author: Sky Blue Reverie skyblue_reverie
Fandom: Jeeves and Wooster
Pairing: J/W
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: Approximately 10,500
Summary: A sequel to my first fic, The Matter of Mr Wooster's Headaches. A Bertie POV this time, featuring Aunt Agatha and Stiffy Byng and kinky tie bondage, oh my. (Er, but the bondage does not involve Aunt A. or Stiffy. *shudder*)
Disclaimer: Still not mine.
Author’s Notes: Inspired once again by the fics of and conversations with the utterly fantabulous veronamay, beta’d by the corking weaselwoman13 and the aforementioned u.f. veronamay. Thank you so much, darlings! *mwah*
Feedback: Will be treasured and responded to with embarrassing enthusiasm.

Eek - that was absolutely amazing. I don't know how you do it - you're a marvel. I'm not sure I would have believed that J/W could be written in such perfect character voice while doing the things they were, um, doing. And the whole plot with the various entanglements and the despised tie (oh, and Gussie in the closet! I may have gasped in shock...) was so utterly perfect. I'm not even a huge reader of J/W but this is so deserving of being kept as a lovely example.

Oh, yes, I'm very late because I bookmarked this to read 'later', which turned out to be rather later than I expected :)

Yay! Oh, thank you so much for your very kind words! I'm especially glad you liked the Gussie-in-the-closet moment (*snerk*) 'cause I was kind of hoping that would startle people. :D But - not a huge reader of J/W? Whyever not? Just curious but, lord, this fandom has eaten my brain. And I don't want it back!

Hee, comments are never too late. In fact, speaking of which - I'm a huge fan of your House/Wilson fics, but probably have never commented (*shameface*) 'cause when I was reading lots of H/W I was a lurker and then by the time I got my LJ and started commenting on fics I read, I had become completely consumed by J/W, and have not been reading much House anymore. Anyway, all of that by way of saying that I'm very sorry and quite ashamed of myself for not commenting, but I have read and enjoyed your House fics immensely.

Oh, and btw - total iconlove!

Hi, I found your fics from the fryandorlaurie group fic list. Fairly new to the fandom and I just wanted to say that I really loved this story. I'm off to read the following parts now!

I hope you don't mind me asking a very blond question though. In the bit "I said a quick toodle-pip to Stiffy and Stinker and beat a hasty retreat, deciding that, in this instance, d. was the better part of v." I just wanted to ask what d and v stood for here. I could follow it throughout the rest of the story but I haven't yet got used to Bertie's use of single letters while reading instead of watching on tv XD
I'm the silly sort of person that gets really annoyed when I can't figure something out and just wanted to ask. If this is out of order then feel free to delete away!

Sorry for the ramble...

Hello, and welcome to the fandom, old bean! Always thrilled to see a new face.

Thank you very much for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the story. D. is the better part of v. = Discretion is the better part of valor. Umm, I don't know the origin of the phrase or anything, sorry! Just something I've heard around, and it sounded like something Bertie would say to justify his hasty retreat. :D

I totally know what you mean about being bugged by stuff like that. I once had to ask another author what one of her Bertie abbreviations meant (it was "the f. of the s. is more d. than the m." and was short for "the female of the species is more deadly than the male.").

You are not out of order at all and I never mind rambles. I'm known to ramble back, though, so you might wanna watch out. It's hard to shut me up. ;)

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy the rest!

Another awesome story! I love it! I love this: "This is all a bit thick, Jeeves. Just because our circle of acquaintances is made up of sneaks and blackmailers and cantankerous magistrates, it seems awfully unfair that we should have to put the kibosh on any pleasantries between ourselves."
I agree. :) And I really laughed at this, too:
He took my nipple into his mouth and sucked on it, hard, causing me to let out a shout of ecstasy which would likely have resulted in an angry telephone call from Mrs Tinkler-Moulke, our neighbour, had Jeeves not convinced her on a previous occasion that I was a dangerous lunatic who sometimes took it into his head to howl at the moon.
Good for Jeeves! :)
This is soo hot and beautiful:
After a few moments of this I was feeling quite frenzied. My limbs were all a-tremble with anticipation, my heart was pounding like a bally drum, my skin was tingling everywhere, and my unmentionable bits were quite ready for some attention. In short, the prologue was drawing to a close and I was primed to jump into the main action of the thing.
Another favourite part:He continued plumbing my depths, so to speak, while I howled like a banshee and poured out a litany of religious entreaties the likes of which my old childhood pastor had never heard from my lips and most assuredly would not be pleased to witness now.
Oh, I love that!
I feel a bit as if I'm spamming you but I'm loving your stories and I am so thankful to you for writing them! I just realised today that I'm reading out of order, but it hasn't changed my enjoyment of them. I just go back and re-read and treasure them again.

Thank you for such lovely comments! Trust me, I will never feel spammed by feedback. I live for feedback. :D

Hee, I'm glad you're enjoying them even out of order, and I'm glad you feel they're worthy of re-read! I am curious if it'll make more sense/be more enjoyable when you read them in order or if it doesn't really matter.

Yay for favorite bits! I'm so glad you liked those parts. It was really fun to write. :)

Thank you once again for reading & commenting - I truly appreciate it, old thing!

Eee, thanks so much, m'dear! I'm thrilled you enjoyed it. I totally agree that nothing beats a good J/W fic (especially with smut!) and so I'm very flattered that you find my stories to fit in that category! :D

I especially appreciate the comment about characterization, because I have such definite ideas about these two. I'm glad that they seem IC to you.

Thanks for reading and commenting, old thing!

I have read exactly ONE Jeeves and Wooster story by Mr. Wodehouse himself, but have now read both this smashing tale and the previous one, making my foray into the Jeeves/Wooster fandom twice as successful as my attempts to read the Wodehouse canon.

These are stupendous. I don't mind informing you that the only J-W story I had read had been the one with the silver cow creamer, Totleigh Towers, Gussie, and Miss Bassett herself, and so the experience of reading this saga in particular gave no small satisfaction.

I understand also that I am late in coming to your fantastic collection of J/W stories by some two years, and that you are clearly in no need of comments like mine to inform you of your talent and to encourage more of the stellar writing and whatnot.

But actually, in all honesty and in my own, non-Wodehouse influenced voice, the two stories of yours I've read have been so good that they're fit for publication, and I mean that sincerely. There ought to be a common-use law coming into effect soon which would make it legal for you to put out your own Wodehousian tales.

In any case, these were immensely satisfying, both because your use of the Wooster and Jeeves voices has been incomprably brilliant and reliably true, and also for the fact that while reading the actual Wodehouse story I found myself hoping it would evolve to exactly the adventures you've so lovingly written for the old J & W here.

Wow, thank you so much for your amazing comment! I'm all glowy, here. :D

I don't know how the public domain thing works, but I'm truly flattered that you think my stories are worthy of publication. :)

I totally know what you mean about wishing you could see explicit slash in Wodehouse. I've been totally spoiled by the fic in our lovely fandom and although I adore the original stories, I always miss the element of romance and smut found in the slash fic. So I just read between the lines, as it were, and invent my own missing scenes. Yes, I am a total freak. :p

Anyway, thank you again so much for your lovely comment! It totally made my day.

You do some some damn fine work, madam! Anyway, once I had finished this story, I couldn't help think of what might come next...

Shocked by the Jeeves' unexpected refusal to dispose of The Tie, Bertie said, “But, Jeeves, you hate it! And anyway, I’ll never be able to wear the dashed thing again without thinking about… well… the rather risqué use to which we put it. I should go about distracted all day long!” Well, imagine Bertie's surprise when -- despite Jeeves' reassurance that he had no such intentions -- one evening Jeeves slips the blasted thing around the master's neck. Apparently, Jeeves -- having been inspired by Bertie's candid confession of The Tie's newfound effect -- thought to give Bertie something pleasant to think about during the course of his visit with Aunt Agatha, as he is occasionally doomed to do. (Or at least that's what he oh-so-innocently claims after the fact, but it's more likely a trick of a vindictive nature.) So every time Bertie looks down -- as is only natural when faced with the steely-eyed wrath of Aunt A. -- he is greeted with the sight of chartreuse and Jeeves' imaginary form looming over him. It wouldn't be long before the color of his face resembles that of the tulips on the tie. Though the room is starting to feel a tad stifling, and the tie a bit tight around the collar, he dare not loosen it for fear of what further damage would be done to his flustered state if the silk were to meet skin. (Perhaps Jeeves used Bertie's predictable reactions as a means of convincing Mrs. Gregson of her nephew's frail health.)

But you know what really isn't healthy? The amount of time I spend thinking about your fics. Hot damn!
Sky: [j&w] jeeves is loveskyblue_reverie on February 27th, 2009 02:29 am (UTC)
Hahahaha! I love it. It's perfect, and so something that Jeeves would do. And of course Bertie, immediately upon getting home, would launch himself upon Jeeves, which is another of Jeeves's reasons for doing it. That Jeeves, so clever! ;)

And thanks so much for the kind words. I'm so happy that my fics entertain! :)

love love love this fic, hot & sweet & VERY sexy.

one thing leading to another made me think of that seen in Dracula:Dead and Loving It where Renfield is on the bead with the 3 vamps and 'No it`s wrong, its wrong ' turnes in to him yelling 'WRONG me Wrong me'

Almost sound like something a virginel yound gentelmen would say in bed for the first time with his velat.

Ha, I haven't seen that movie, but that sounds hilarious.

As for plot bunnies, I'm actually in the throes of writing a nuTrek!fic. Should be posted within a week or so. That fandom has totally eaten my brain.

Thanks again for the comment! :)

I must say I'm a fan of bondage, so I do love the smut part very much XD There's something so sexy and hot about it - the way both of them take another step further in their relationship *swoon*

The whole story does make sense lol The whole characterization of Stiffy and other people are as good as the characterization of Jeeves and Bertie. I'm impressed of how good you are at keeping their voices.

I can't help but kinda wish that Jeeves would punish Bertie a bit further by forcing him to wear That Tie. It'd be fun to see Bertie being distracted all day lol
Sky: [j&w] jeeves wins!skyblue_reverie on February 1st, 2010 09:34 pm (UTC)
Thank you so much honey! I'm glad the smut worked for you, and particularly the bondage. Yeah, I'm a fan too, in case you couldn't tell. ;)

The voices are fun to write, and it helps to mainline massive amounts of the books and tv shows. :D

Oh, there will be more punishment in the future, don't you worry! I think Bertie might just choose to wear that tie himself in the future for that exact reason. :)
