In Which Skyblue Shamelessly Begs for Prezzies
Sooooo... my birfday is on Sunday, and I'd dearly love to receive Fry/Laurie slashy goodness, of the RPS variety or any of their fictional incarnations - Tony/Control, Jeeves/Wooster, George/Melchett, etc. Any fic length is fine, from drabble to epic, art is wonderful too, and the pornier, the better! I realize this is quite short notice, so I will happily accept belated gifts... *bats eyelashes enticingly*

In other news, I'm going to be signing up for the kink/cliché multi-fandom challenge, and I'm going to try to write Fry/Laurie RPS, a first for me! msliz4857, zekkass, and cosmicwaffles have already signed up (forgive me if you've signed up and I missed you); anyone else on my f-list want to join us and carry the banner of Fry/Laurieness? It seems to be a very low-key type of challenge, so it shouldn't be too stressful.

Finally, because it looked like an awful lot of fun, and I'm bored at work too, I'm ganking from notpoetry the idea of playing Marry Fuck Kill via LJ. The rules: the marriage is sexless, the fucking is a one-night stand, and the kill, well, that's pretty self-explanatory. So:

Bertie Wooster, Gregory House, Hugh Laurie.

Where am I?: work, boo.
How do I feel?: restlessrestless
What do I hear?: Bob Marley on radioparadise.com

heee, okay. Marry Chase 'cause he's ten kinds of adorable, fuck Cameron because she is smokin', and, sorry Foreman, you're outta here.

House, Wilson, Cuddy!

Ooh, the grownups of the show. Hmm, marry Cuddy because she's got a gorgeous house and I'd love to live there, fuck House because, well, he's House, he's irresistible even though he's a jerk, and kill Wilson 'cause the Jiminy Cricket act gets old.

Starbuck, Apollo, Roslin to you. :D

p.s. I've meant to ask you this ever since Yuletide - what exactly does "that's not poetry, that's propaganda, and it's not even good propaganda at that" mean? Is it a quote from something? Or just random?

omg, MARRY ROSLIN SO HARD because she's BRILLIANT and ruthless and awesome, fuck Apollo because he's a whiney, whiney bitch, and fuck Starbuck. Nnnngh Starbuck.

*coughs* ANYWAY.

Um, Six, Boomer, Three.

And my journal title comes from the book Wicked, which is an awesome, awesome book and nothing like the musical. The headmistress of the school is reading aloud a poem that ends with, "Animals should be seen and not heard." And the Goat (I forget his name) is horribly offended and says, "That's not poetry, that's propaganda, and it's not even good propaganda at that."

And I really like it because I'm a writer but not a poet (hence notpoetry), and I'm entertained by the idea of "good" propaganda -- like, is it "noble" propaganda? Is it for some kind of good cause? Or is it just crappy and unsubtle? Can propaganda be a good thing? (This is what I think about, my brain is a weird place.)

And I loved so much the way you used that line in the Yuletide story -- just, oh man, I need to reiterate how much I love that story, endlessly, insanely, incredibly -- that story was so clearly ALL FOR ME what with the characters named after Orangemen and the little quotes and I basically did this: \o/ the entire time I was reading that story. And it is my comfort food. I must've read it thirty times by now, usually more than once a week, because when I'm unhappy I just open it up and indulge in how awesome and cheerful and wonderful it is. And thank you so much for writing it.

Haha, I think you got two fucks in there, but that's okay, I know what you meant. ;)

Oooh, let's see, fuck Six, 'cause she's A MAJOR HOTTIE, kill Three, 'cause she annoys the crap out of me, and marry Boomer, 'cause she seems the most mentally stable of the three.

Hmmm, let's see, BSG is pretty fertile ground, no? So... Adama, Tyrol, Baltar.

Ah, thank you for the explanation of the notpoetry thing! :D And awww, you are so sweet to say such nice things about the fic. I am SO glad you like it, my dear, and I'm thrilled beyond words that you re-read it so often. Your feedback totally made my yuletide (and I'll confess that I've gone back to read your comments multiple times!) *huggles you*
