Odd email
So I got an email from amazon.com:

Dear Amazon.com Customer,

We've noticed that customers who have expressed interest in The World of Jeeves by P. G. Wodehouse have also ordered A Practical Handbook for the Boyfriend: For Every Guy Who Wants to Be One/For Every Girl Who Wants to Build One by Felicity Huffman. For this reason, you might like to know that Felicity Huffman's A Practical Handbook for the Boyfriend: For Every Guy Who Wants to Be One/For Every Girl Who Wants to Build One will be released on January 23, 2007. You can pre-order your copy at a savings of $7.34 by following the link below.

Wait, what? Am I missing something here? Color me confused, and amused. Which of you on my f-list have been ordering these two books together? - come on now, 'fess up! :D

How do I feel?: amusedamused

Hahahahahahahaha...what an odd combination. But what a relief to know that Felicity has written such a tome to provide us with such worthwhile information! :D

Isn't it, though? I don't know how I got along without this book! ;)

Iconlove!! Bertie's jazz hands are adorable.

Hahahahahahhahahah! I LOVE the idea of Bertie reading that book so he can shape himself up for Jeeves, sort of like when he tries to read the book to figure out how to make tea while Jeeves is gone. Of course, Jeeves would come home, roll his eyes, throw the book away, and swoop Bertie off to the bedroom for a more hands-on lesson. :p

Also - ha! you're very sweet. How much do I love it that I am forever linked with SF in your mind? A lot. ;) I need to see Stormbreaker, if only for the two minutes with SF.

How've you been, darling? Seems forever (almost a week - gasp!) since we've talked!

Hee, who, me? I love that expression on SF's face. It's such a perfect "WTF?" face. :D

Wait--why is Felicity Huffman writing a self-help book? And when it says "For every girl who wants to build one" does that mean she's encouraging relationships with robots???

You know, I had the same thought - "building" a perfect boyfriend does sound awfully mechanical, or maybe Frankensteinian (if that's a word). Creepy. As for Felicity - she's on Desperate Housewives, right? Surely that must qualify her to write about how to find love? ... Er, perhaps not. :p

HAHAHA! YES, INDEED. WE MUST BUY THE BOOK SO WE CAN SAVE $7.34. NEVER MIND THE $20 OR WHATEVER FOR A BOOK WE DON'T WANT OR NEED - WE COULD SAVE $7.34!!

Hey - you made me go all capslock. :P

*Snort!* Do many readers of Jeeves really feel the need to be better boyfriends? Oh, and thank you, river and Skyblue, I now have a plot bunny roaming around in my head.

*BUILD your own BOYFRIEND with things you have around the home! Only 7.34$!*

Will they teach me to build a Hugh boyfriend? Complete with bisexuality and Stephen accessory?

Well, maybe after reading about Jeeves, the BEST BOYFRIEND IN THE HISTORY OF EVER, male readers are feeling a little bit inadquate about their boyfriending skillz. ;)

Hee, go plotbunny! Feel free to adopt it - I've got no objection. :D

Ooooooh, Hugh boyfriend complete with bisexuality and matching Stephen! I'd buy THAT no matter what the price! ("My soul? Sure, I wasn't using it anyway." :p)
